The Utidia Study & Work Program, managed by the faculty of the Utidia Apprenticeship Institute (UAI), serves as a bridge between learning and meaningful work experience. It is designed to help young Africans gain practical skills, build real projects, and connect to remote and on-site work opportunities while still studying or after completing secondary school.
As part of UAI’s mission to prepare Africa’s future workforce, this program connects ambitious learners to remote apprenticeships, freelance gigs, internships, and industry-driven projects that develop both competence and confidence.

The Remote Job Portfolio Building Bootcamp
Your First Step to Hands-On Experience & Global Opportunities
The Remote Job Portfolio Building Bootcamp is the gateway to Utídia’s Study & Work Program — a 6–12 week practical training designed to help Undergraduates and O’Level holders gain digital skills, build real projects, and develop a professional portfolio that opens doors to global opportunities.
This ₦120,000 program is fully covered under the Study & Work Grant sponsored by Youthup Global. However, to unlock access to the program and all its benefits, participants are required to make a one-time contribution as follows:
- Private Students: ₦12,000 (or $10)
- Partner Institution Students: ₦5,000 (in batches of 50 students)
Partner Institution Students can also email institute@utidia.com to confirm their school’s eligibility and receive a customized registration link.

Bootcamp Structure
Each participant will:
- Choose a career track that aligns with their field of interest
- Join a guided learning sprint to gain project-ready skills
- Work on a real project (individually or in small teams)
- Earn certification and unlock the Work Board access for remote opportunities
Sample Bootcamp Projects by Career Track
1. Digital Business, Marketing & Transformation
- Build a social media campaign strategy for a small brand
- Develop a mini digital marketing plan and analytics report
- Design an online customer journey experience
2. Software Engineering & Data Technology
- Build a simple web app or data dashboard
- Create a mini API or automation workflow
- Analyze and visualize real-world datasets
3. Design, Product & User Experience
- Design a landing page or mobile app interface
- Conduct user research and present a UX case study
- Develop a brand style guide and visual identity project
4. Green Energy, Engineering & Smart Systems
- Develop a prototype of a sustainable energy concept
- Design a mini IoT or smart device simulation
- Present a campus or community-based green innovation idea
5. Health, Medical Support & Digital Healthcare
- Create a public health awareness campaign
- Build a prototype for digital patient engagement
- Develop a community healthcare access improvement concept
General Workshop
All Bootcamp participants will also take part in a Workplace Soft Skills Workshop covering:
- Communication & teamwork
- Time and task management
- Professional etiquette & presentation
- Collaboration tools for digital teams

Here’s how to start your journey:
1️⃣ Complete the Registration Form
- Private Students: Fill out the Utídia Private Student Registration Form, indicating that you are applying for the Study and Work Grant and uploading a valid school ID card.
- Partner Institution Students: Download the Study and Work Grant Endorsement Form and get it endorsed by the Dean of Student Affairs (or designated office), then upload it through the Utídia Partner Institution Student Registration Form.
2️⃣ Pay the Required Contribution
- ₦10,000 for Private Students (after grant approval)
- ₦5,000 for Partner Institution Students (endorsement facilitation fee already made at your Dean’s office)
3️⃣ Enroll in the Remote Job Placement Qualifying Course
Gain access to the 6–8 week program fully sponsored under the Study and Work Grant.
4️⃣ Complete Your Course & Certification
Finish your modules and earn your Study & Work Digital Certification.
5️⃣ Get Matched & Placed
Be matched with an industry mentor and access verified jobs, gigs, internships, and apprenticeship opportunities through the Study & Work Board.
