Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Sterile Processing Tech to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Position Overview:

• The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Technician cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all instruments used for surgical procedures and patient care, 
• Performs all daily biological and sterile supply testing and maintains logs for each, 
• Functions throughout the facility to organize and direct instrument needs to units, 
• Assists clinical operations as needed with endoscopy procedures, 
• Stocks and orders supplies for unit as directed, 
• Responsible for understanding and being fully involved in completion of competencies

The SPD Technician will be an active member of the entire department, with the ability to help in roles outside of surgically specific job duties if needed. The SPD Technician will work collaboratively with others within the department to ensure an efficient, professional, and respectful environment. The SPD Technician will work with other departments as well in regards to patient safety and communication.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Certification - Sterile Processing - REQUIRED
• Experience working in an ambulatory or hospital setting
• A strong understanding of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment
• The ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
