Department: Early Childhood - Preschool
Reports to: Principal and/or Assistant Principal

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Tuesday & Thursday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

* Assist with Preschool aged students
* Work one-on-one or with small groups to reinforce instruction and support student learning
* Assist teachers with classroom organization, lesson preparation, and behavior management
* Supervise students during lunch, recess, church, in hallways, and on field trips
* Help with grading, recording academic data, and maintaining student records
* Contribute to classroom and hallway displays that support learning and engagement

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and staff.
* Basic knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices.
* Support early learning and development by assisting with age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment by helping with supervision, daily routines, and transitions.
* Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lessons, observe student behavior, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom community.
* Organized, dependable, flexible, and consistently maintains a positive attitude.

Education and Experience
* Must pass a background check and complete Safe Environment Certification
* Experience working with children is preferred but not required
