Attention all current and aspiring Library Technicians! Are you looking to play a pivotal role in reintegrating people into society by providing instruction and imaginative escape through literacy? The Library Office Technician will provide direct supervision to clerks and library patrons utilizing their assigned library in order to pvodie patrons with their required access and to maintain insitutional safety and security. Perform and/or monitor clerks in the tasks associated with book cirulation, catalog classification, upkeep, maintenance and inventory of library materials. See Duty Statement for more details. 

This position is posted on a 12 month limited term basis with the possibility of being extended up to 24 months or becoming permanent.

Working Conditions

This position is located at the California State Prison in Corcoran CA, which is accessibly located right off Highway 43. Conveniently located one hour from Lemoore Naval Air Station and Sequoias National Park. Two hours from Yosemite National Park and Pismo Beach.

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by departmental annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter .
