We're seeking a Remote Truss Design Manager to oversee a team of skilled truss designers and ensure all projects meet the highest standards for safety, quality, and precision. In this remote role, you'll lead a talented group of 10 designers, provide technical support, and collaborate with various stakeholders to bring complex projects to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Guide and support a team of 10 truss designers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Project Management: Review project specifications, assign tasks to the design team, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs.
Quality Assurance: Evaluate and approve truss designs, ensuring they meet safety, structural, and project-specific standards.
Technical Expertise: Use advanced design software to create 3D models and run simulations, ensuring each truss design is both strong and stable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to align truss designs with overall project goals.
Client Support: Offer technical guidance to project teams and clients, ensuring they have the information needed for project success.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in truss design to keep our designs at the forefront of innovation.
What You Bring to the Role:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of experience in truss design and structural analysis.
Proven leadership skills, with a track record of managing and inspiring design teams.
Proficiency in specialized truss design and simulation software.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
Ability to thrive in a remote work environment and manage tasks independently.
Willingness to travel occasionally for onsite meetings and inspections.
