Job Responsibilities

Position Summary: We are seeking applicants for a Trainee position which is an entry level Skilled Trades employee to perform general machine shop cleanup duties. This position is an opportunity to gain experience in a machine shop setting for an individual who would potentially grow into a member of LEA Coldwater’s Apprenticeship Program.


Role qualifications:
• Must be familiar with Company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives.
• Be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives.

Position responsibilities:
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the manufacturing shop
• Assist with set up and tear down of any company wide meeting
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work well with helpers, Engineers, Management, and support functions

Job Requirements

Essential skills and experience:
• Pending or earned High School Diploma
• Vocational training in Machine Trades or equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated aptitude for mechanical trades and applied mathematics
• Demonstrated eagerness to work and learn metalworking
• Basic mechanical knowledge of machines and tools
• Commitment to company values.
• Educational training and experience requirements may be modified at the Managements Team’s discretion.
