A respected Community Medical Center in Southeast Washington is searching for an RN Director Perioperative Services to guide its growing surgical services program. The Operating Room Nurse Director will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, overseeing a team of 26 FTEs, including RNs, surgical techs, and support staff. This role will work closely with the managers of PACU and Prep/Recovery, as well as collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
The RN Director Perioperative Services will oversee 32 FTEs and a surgical service line that includes three operating rooms, a three-bed PACU, and an eight-bed Prep/Recovery unit. On average, the team completes about 600 surgeries annually.
The Operating Room Nurse Director will provide day-to-day oversight of the OR and Central Sterile, ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. This role involves mentoring staff, managing budgets, and driving quality improvement initiatives. The director will also step in to support clinical operations as needed, ensuring continuity of care during high-volume periods.
