Are you passionate about teaching and inspiring young minds? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Remote Lower Elementary Math Teacher to help students from Preschool through 2nd grade develop a strong foundation in math. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on fostering critical thinking, logic skills, and a love for learning in young learners using innovative, engaging methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and teach engaging online math classes for students, ranging from Preschool to 2nd grade, on a weekly basis (5-7 classes = approximately 7-15 hours/week).
Adapt to class schedules and assignments based on your readiness and student feedback.
Participate in paid teaching assistant opportunities to observe and learn from experienced lead teachers.
Conduct one-on-one assessments with new students to help place them in the appropriate classes (5-10 hours/week).
Grade homework and provide weekly progress updates to parents, including areas for improvement (5-7 hours/week).
Take on additional tasks as assigned by the teaching management team.
Work Hours:
Wednesday to Sunday, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm (Monday and Tuesday off).
Flexibility in non-teaching hours, with class schedules being the top priority.
What We're Looking For:
A Bachelor's degree or higher (Education or STEM-related fields preferred, but all majors are welcome!).
Previous experience teaching math is a plus.
Availability to work full-time from Wednesday to Sunday, starting February 2025.
Passionate about teaching and working with children, with a strong sense of responsibility.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with parents.
High-energy, enthusiastic, and charismatic, with the ability to engage and inspire young learners effectively.
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive Pay:
Teaching Hours: $25-$40/hr
Administrative Hours (Lesson Prep, Grading, Parent Communication): $16-$21/hr
Yearly Salary Estimate:
First-year Total Target Compensation: $40,000-$50,000
