**Job Title: Legal Assistant**
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a meticulous and highly organized Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal terminology and processes, displaying excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to support the corporate legal team in various administrative and clerical tasks. This is an in office position.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in preparing legal documents and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain legal files and records, ensuring all paperwork is properly documented and filed.
- Conduct research and compile data as required, using law libraries and online databases.
- Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Prepare and process legal forms and documents.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- An associate’s degree in legal studies, law, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in a legal setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Prior experience in a legal assistant role or similar position is an advantage.
- Certification from a recognized legal assistant or paralegal program.
