The Associate, M&A role is to act as a key member of the M&A team, supporting senior bankers throughout the full life cycle of client interactions from origination to closing of transactions, including, origination, modelling and valuation, management meetings, diligence, financing, tactics and negotiation of definitive of documentation.

Responsibility:

  • Work with senior bankers and participate in client transactions, projects or assignments as a member of the Investment Banking team
  • Responsible for organizing and analyzing sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans
  • Prepare valuation materials and M&A analyses for pitches and live deals
  • Conduct market, economic, & financial research
  • Build complex financial models for valuation purposes
  • Operate within compliance parameters and demonstrate sound business judgement

Skills:

  • Understanding of corporate finance and M&A
  • Experience related to Energy and Infrastructure a plus
  • Solid financial modeling and technical capabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams
  • Team player and self starter

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent field.


Work Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of work experience
  • prior experience in investment banking, M&A


Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of business products and services strong business or commercial credit acumen
  • Proven track record of sales and outside calling skills Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop strong customer and colleague relationships
  • Local market knowledge and the ability to develop, retain and expand relationships with Centers of Influence
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment

What Else You Need To Know :

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$131,250.00 USD

Maximum:

$225,000.00 USD
