Position Overview:
As an Engineering and Design Processes Engineer, you will serve as a vital link between established processes and the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) organization. Your role is crucial in ensuring that EPC engineering activities are effectively aligned with organizational expectations, workflows, and governance standards. You will be responsible for mapping, interpreting, and communicating our processes to EPC teams while identifying gaps and facilitating process adoption throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify diverging processes, propose harmonization strategies, and create comprehensive process documentation, including flowcharts and guidance materials.
  2. EPC Support & Coordination:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for EPC engineering teams, providing insight into Owner processes and requirements.
    • Offer guidance, clarification, and troubleshooting support as EPC disciplines navigate Owner workflows.
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and training, ensuring EPC staff are well-versed in established processes.
    • Monitor adherence to Owner processes and address escalated issues as necessary.
  3. Continuous Improvement & Governance:

    • Evaluate current process effectiveness and recommend enhancements.
    • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving processes, bringing together both teams.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project governance frameworks.
    • Support compliance tracking, prepare audits, and generate reports.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate closely with engineering leads, project managers, QA/QC teams, document control, procurement, and construction stakeholders.
    • Serve as a liaison between process owners and EPC leadership.
    • Facilitate workshops to resolve ambiguities or conflicts between the organizations.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Nuclear, or a related discipline).
    • 6–10 years of experience in EPC environments, particularly in the energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
    • Familiarity with structured process frameworks such as gated engineering processes or quality management systems is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of EPC project execution phases, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
    • Familiarity with process mapping methodologies (e.g., BPMN, SIPOC).
    • Knowledge of project governance, quality assurance, and configuration management.
  • Key Skills & Competencies:

    • Process-Oriented Thinking: Ability to analyze and enhance complex workflows.
    • Communication & Facilitation: Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for coaching teams.
    • Problem Solving: Capable of troubleshooting process bottlenecks with practical solutions.
    • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across organizations and build lasting relationships.
    • Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining accuracy in documentation and compliance.
    • Adaptability: Skilled in managing processes across diverse disciplines and dynamic project environments.
    • Technical Writing: Proficient in producing clear and concise documentation and guides.
