Job Description

As a Snowmobile Rescue Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff while patrolling snowmobile trails alongside guided tours. This unique position combines emergency medical response with snowmobile operation in challenging outdoor environments.

In this role, you will be trained not only in the safe operation of snowmobiles but also in advanced riding techniques to ensure you can quickly and effectively reach emergency scenes, often in remote and rugged terrain. We are seeking individuals who are eager to learn and grow—both in their technical riding abilities and in their emergency medical response skills.

The EMT is responsible for responding to both emergency and non-emergency medical situations. This includes conducting triage, providing immediate care to ill or injured individuals, and determining the need for additional external medical support. Due to the nature of the environment, EMTs must be prepared to respond with limited resources while maintaining high standards of care.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position ranges from        , depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting. 

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

This position is at Lake Tahoe Adventures for the Winter 2024-2025 season. The season dates are typically from December through the end of March/April depending on snowfall.  

Job Responsibilities

•    Leads medical response scene and assesses patient’s condition to determine a proper course of treatment 
•    Provides basic life support training and team leadership including airway management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and use of the automatic defibrillator when necessary 
•    Reports verbally and in writing medical care and observations of the patient at the emergency scene and in transit 

•    Assist in the transportation of the injured to additional response units 
•    Oversees the restocks and replaces used supplies, cleans all equipment following appropriate disinfecting procedures 
•    Maintains patient confidentiality according to state and federal laws 
•    Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

•    NREMT certification required 
•    Previous EMT and leadership experience preferred 

•    Previous snowmobiling experience preferred but not required 

•    Must be able to use judgement and make decisions in a high stress, fast paced environment 
•    Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written 
•    Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends 

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
