Assignment Overview

• START ASAP (must start within next week)
• Length: 4 weeks
• Schedule:
  • Week 1: 3×12s
  • Week 2: 3×12s + 1×8
  • Every other weekend & every other holiday
  • No block scheduling
• Floating: No
• Charge: Required (will perform charge regularly)

Patient Population

• Ages 17–104
• Chronic disease exacerbations
• Acute infections
• Rehab and mixed-acuity MS/Tele patients

Staffing & Support

• Ratios: 1:5–6
• Support per shift:
  • CNA/LNA/PCT: 3
  • LPN: 1
  • Unit Secretary: 1 (days)
• Advanced Practice: PA access
• Respiratory: 24/7 support
• Ventilators: N/A

Equipment & Skills

• Telemetry
• IV pumps
• Hi-Flow O₂
• CT IV contrast
• IV starts, venipuncture
• EKGs & Tele interpretation
• Respiratory treatments
• COVID patient care

Requirements

• NY RN license active at submission
• 1+ year Med/Surg Tele experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Charge experience required
• Epic experience (within past 2 years) – non-negotiable
• Certs (required):
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS (must be completed prior to start)

Orientation

• 1–2 days

Important Notes

• Reliable transportation required (no public transit)
• Winter months require all-season or snow tires
• All employment gaps >90 days must be explained
• Full work history required (bed counts, EMR, facility type)
