Commercial snow removal services from C&Z Construction keep businesses safe and accessible for customers and employees. At C&Z Construction, we have a team of over 75 workers, and we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — including holidays. We are there when our clients need us to remove snow and ice from their business’s property. We use a wide variety of equipment and tools to ensure that we can deliver the best results, providing our customers with quick, courteous service when they need it most.

Snowy winter days can be beautiful, but they can also cause problems for a business. When a parking lot is full of snow, employees and customers might have trouble finding a parking space they feel comfortable with. If the sidewalk in front of a store is covered in ice, it’s not just inconvenient — it also opens a business up to liability claims if someone slips and gets hurt. Property owners have a responsibility to deal with the snow and ice on their property.

Job Description

Are you looking for part-time supplemental income, working for a fun, growing company this winter? We are seeking Part Time Snow Removal Laborers for work in the Harrisburg and York areas. This is an on-call position. Applicants must have open availability during winter events. This includes weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, etc. All of our accounts are 24/7/365 facilities. 

Successful applicants will work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and exposure to elements, while maintaining a clean and safe job site to ensure current landscape and property is not damaged in the efforts of removing snow. This can include heavy to moderate noise, extreme proximity to moving equipment or machinery, and exposure to tools and machines used in construction. Candidates report directly to the job site – reliable transportation to the job sites is required. 

The primary responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to reporting to the job site on time and clearing snow & ice safely and efficiently from customer sites using shovels, snowblowers, salt spreaders and applying de-icers, and piling snow in designated and approved locations only. Work is performed in areas including but not limited to loading areas, docks, sidewalks, and in parking lots. Less than ideal weather conditions are a given – this position involves labor intensive work outdoors in various winter conditions, including snow, mix of snow/rain, sleet, extreme weather conditions, low temperatures, and more. 

Pay is $25-$35/hr. – While this is a weather dependent position with no guaranteed hours, all of our accounts are 24 hr. facilities, which means a lot of hours because we’re there from the start of the storm to the completion of clean up.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to work independently and work well with a team
• Tolerance for labor intensive work in extreme weather conditions
• Available for seasonal long hours, a clear schedule to work all hours of the day, any day of the week and a strong work ethic. This position could require potential holiday work.
