A day in this role

You’ll start your day at our Frederick distribution center, perform a quick pre-trip inspection, and then roll out on a set route in a 26' straight truck. Throughout the day, you’ll deliver Dexter products to customer locations, gather required signatures, and handle return pickups. Between stops, you’ll keep the vehicle orderly and ensure every delivery meets Dexter’s safety and service standards. At day’s end, you’ll finalize receipts and secure any collected payments.

What you’ll do

• Operate a 26' straight truck on an established route to deliver Dexter products.
• Collect customer payments when needed and record transactions on receipts.
• Pick up empty containers and returned merchandise.
• Secure customer signatures for both deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain a clean, well-kept truck.
• Adhere to all federal and company safety and vehicle regulations.

What you bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 25 years of age.
• 6+ months of experience operating comparable equipment (no mileage requirement).
• Valid Class C Driver’s License (or equivalent from another state).
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid medical certificate.
• Strong leadership qualities with excellent organization and planning skills, aligned with Dexter’s core values.

Comparable vehicles include heavy-duty pickup, walk-in van, city delivery truck, box truck, bucket truck, straight bed truck, typically with GVWR from 10,001 lbs up to 26,000 lbs.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
