SeekTeachers is urgently seeking a qualified and experienced Primary teacher on behalf of our client in Shenzhen, China. 

Our client is a coeducational, British bilingual (English and Mandarin) day and boarding school for Pre School to Prep 7 pupils. The school is aim to provide a pre-eminent dual language accredited Prep school to Chinese nationals and expatriates in the Shenzhen, China region. The school follows a blended bilingual programme with English first language teachers and Chinese bilingual teachers in Pre K, Pre School, and Preparatory School (Prep 1 7). 

As a Primary School teacher, you will teach a diverse range of subjects to the students including English, Maths, Inquiry, and Computing in a stimulating and supportive learning environment. Our client follows a bespoke English Language programme based on best practices from around the world and are assessed on The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) system as well as in house English language progress assessments.

Qualifications:

*University degree (BA/B.Sc) or equivalent

*Teaching Qualification (B.Ed/M.Ed/PGCE/QTS) or equivalent

*At least five years of relevant teaching experience

*Native English speaker

Job Description:

- Undertake Co-Curricular Activities to enrich pupil learning and participate in events to build community, celebrate success and showcase learning to parents.

- Provide in loco parentis homeroom provision as an English speaking homeroom teacher together with a Chinese bilingual homeroom teacher.

- Teach primarily English and some periods of Maths, Inquiry or Computing (specific arrangements will depend on the year group you are assigned to). 

- Receive several PPA (planning, preparation and assessment) periods across the week during the school day. 

- Work alongside a Chinese bilingual banzhuren to lead the morning registration, ERIC (Everyone Reading in Class) or Phonics session and the end-of-day Pack and Snack session.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:

Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)

Must be a native speaker of English

Prefer candidates with international experience

Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted

Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted

Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:

A salary   CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
