Nesco Resource has partnered with a prestigious law firm in the pursuit to hire a Legal Assistant with No Fault experience or is familiar with medical, insurance, or personal injury documentation.
This is a hybrid role with three in-office days per week in Uniondale, NY. The remaining two days per week may be worked remotely. .

About the Role:
You'll support a busy team of attorneys and paralegals, helping manage No-Fault litigation files and keeping the office running efficiently. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced legal environment and develop valuable skills in case management and client support.

What You'll Do:

• Assist attorneys with day-to-day tasks related to No-Fault cases.

• Draft, edit, and format legal documents and correspondence.

• Organize and maintain case files, including scanning, copying, and electronic filing.

• Prepare and submit filings through NYSCEF and other online systems.

• Schedule meetings, court dates, and depositions; manage attorney calendars.

• Enter attorney time and assist with billing and expense submissions.

• Communicate with insurance carriers, clients, and medical providers when needed.

• Provide general administrative support — answering phones, emails, and handling document requests.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working in a law firm or office that handles No-Fault, personal injury, or insurance matters.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

• Professional communication skills — both written and verbal.

• A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Bonus Points:

• Familiarity with electronic filing systems (NYSCEF, ECF).

• Experience with billing/time entry programs (like iTimekeep or Chrome River).
