The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a sharp, confident, and proactive In-House Legal Counsel to join our executive team in Jacksonville. The ideal candidate is an experienced attorney with strong litigation skills and deep knowledge of employment law, contract law, and customer dispute resolution. You’ll serve as our internal legal expert, helping to protect and propel our fast-growing business while upholding our values of integrity and fairness.

What You’ll Do:

  • Represent the company in legal proceedings and litigation matters, including employment claims and customer disputes

  • Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of issues, including employment law, contract negotiation and enforcement, and consumer rights

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, service agreements, employment documents, and company policies

  • Lead responses to claims, demands, and legal actions, working with external counsel as needed

  • Investigate and help resolve customer and employee disputes in a legally compliant and brand-aligned manner

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations across all departments

  • Advise leadership on potential risks and legal strategies as we scale operations across Florida and beyond

  • Create and deliver legal training and resources to internal teams

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and HR

What You Bring:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law in the state of Florida

  • 5+ years of experience practicing law, with a strong background in litigation

  • In-depth knowledge of employment law , contract law , and consumer disputes

  • Excellent courtroom presence and confidence in handling legal proceedings

  • Experience working in-house or with businesses in fast-paced, service-based industries a plus

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to balance legal risk with business goals

  • A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
