Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic 2 to perform journey-level inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of highway maintenance equipment. In this role, you will ensure the Northwest Region’s inventoried vehicles and equipment are safe, reliable, and ready to support critical maintenance and operations. This position plays a vital part in helping WSDOT deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation services to the public. You will work independently to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and complete both major and minor repairs that keep our crews moving.
