**This position is posted for one of our valued SaaS/Fintech Clients**
We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to drive demand generation, strengthen market positioning, build brand authority, and scale a high-performing marketing organization that will support continued enterprise customer acquisition and expansion.
The Chief Marketing Officer will serve as a critical member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO. This individual will lead all aspects of marketing. There is a significant focus on revenue-driving programs including demand generation, digital marketing, product marketing, brand building, customer marketing, and market positioning.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in SaaS marketing, particularly in building and scaling programs targeted to the office of the CFO, including controllers, accountants, FP&A leaders, and finance executives. This individual will be responsible for architecting and executing a scalable, data-driven go-to-market strategy that fuels both new customer acquisition and expansion within existing customers.
The successful candidate must be both a strategic leader and a hands-on operator capable of building and mentoring high-performance teams, collaborating cross-functionally and driving accountability for results.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Generation & Revenue Marketing
• Own and scale a predictable, measurable, and ROI-positive demand generation engine.
• Oversee all pipeline-building programs across digital, ABM, content marketing, field events, partnerships, and outbound channels.
• Partner closely with sales leadership to ensure tight alignment on pipeline targets, lead handoff, conversion rates and revenue contribution.
Brand, Positioning & Category Leadership
• Evolve and strengthen the company’s brand positioning to further establish category authority and market differentiation.
• Develop compelling messaging that resonates with key personas across the CFO suite, controllers, accountants, and broader finance leadership.
• Serve as a public-facing representative of the company at key industry events, conferences, and media engagements.
Go-to-Market Leadership
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and the Executive Team to refine ICPs, pricing, packaging, and market entry strategies.
• Continuously analyze market trends, competitive intelligence and customer insights to inform go-to-market strategy.
Team Leadership & Organizational Scale
• Build, develop, and lead a world-class marketing organization capable of scaling with the company’s growth trajectory.
• Foster a high-performance, results-oriented, and collaborative team culture.
• Establish clear KPIs, reporting, and operational rigor to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as a true business partner to Sales, Product, Customer Success, and the broader executive leadership team.
• Help drive alignment across the full customer lifecycle — from awareness and acquisition through retention, expansion and advocacy.
Requirements
• Minimum 15 years of progressive marketing leadership experience within SaaS or technology companies.
• Deep experience building and scaling demand generation engines with a track record of revenue contribution and pipeline growth.
• Expertise in marketing to finance professionals — including controllers, accountants, CFOs, and broader office of the CFO functions — is highly preferred.
• Proven success in leading and scaling teams through rapid growth stages.
• Strong background in brand development, market positioning, and messaging.
• Data-driven, highly analytical, and fluent in modern marketing technology stacks.
• Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Success organizations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and metrics-oriented environment.
• Experience working within a private equity-backed or investor-backed environment is a plus.
