Job Description

Bookkeeper (Full Time - Part Time)

An established local bookkeeping company in Sylvania, Ohio, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full time or part-time position in our small business with a comfortable work environment. Fast-paced bookkeeping service that offers services to multiple local companies. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.


Required/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 Years of previous bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks online and desktop versions.
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
  • Proficient in data entry.
  • Detail-oriented and organized. 
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team and independently. 
  • Ability to maintain confidential client information.
  • Able to work 24 -32 hours per week to start.
  • Complete a background check and provide references.

 

Essential Functions Include:

  • General bookkeeping for various companies.
  • Enter bills, checks, and payroll. ( Not actually running payroll, but knowledge entering payroll)
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
  • Process and pay CAT and Sales Tax.
  • Prepare journal entries as needed.
  • Assist other team members with projects.
  • Able to switch between tasks as needed.
  • Assist clients with general QuickBooks questions when needed.
